New Year, Old League
Welcome back to a new year, my friends. 2016 marks the 10th year of Floored. We start off the year with a new champion, Dean, and new trophy…yet unnamed.
Among other new ideas to start the year, is this here blog.
I’ve never written a blog before, but I thought it would be a good way to keep
all these weekly league recaps in one place. I have tried to keep it as easy as
possible for you to view it.
OK, on to the real stuff. New this year is off season keeper
trading. About a year ago we voted to allow this. Here is how it will work, it
is not going to be quite as straightforward as proposing a trade inside the
Yahoo software. All keeper trading offers, negotiations, and accepted trades
will be made outside of the league management. Yes this means you will have to
call, text, or email the guy you want to trade with. Once a deal is reached, the
accepted trade will need to be forwarded to me so that I can notify the league.
We will then go through the normal trade bidding wars process in March, prior
to the draft. Once a deal is finalized, I can manually make the changes in the
yahoo commissioner draft management tool.
If you’re wondering who the guys are available to trade for,
you can either check out the excel sheet I sent out a few months ago, or you
can go here to see everyone’s end of year rosters: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/archive/mlb/2015/1697/rosters
That will be all for this week. Next week we can
talk about who the keepers on the market are, the trades that have gone down so
far (yes some trading has already happened), and the bidding wars that are
shaping up.
