Bringing up Rear

Unsurprisingly, Dave and Dean have risen to the top of the standings and rankings. Last week, Dave blew out the number three team, Josh Marcley. Interestingly, Dave and Marcley were the two big risers last week. Marcley was the victim of some bad luck it appears. Dave edged out most of the close categories. These two teams both played pretty well last week. Other items to note were Dean mashing his way past team BJ who had a monster pitching week: 4W/62K/1.4ERA/sub-1.00WHIP. Cory had a huge weekend to overtake Michael right around the time Michael was starting to get some hope back about his team…thanks Cory. Paul and Max had some underwhelming weeks both offensively and defensively but Paul ended up with a resounding win. Paul will be coming back from Tax Season 8th in the rankings/6th in the standings. Keith and Arthur both had pretty poor offensive weeks and passable pitching weeks. After Keith’s 18 HR week he came back to Earth with 7 HR, Keith was the big dropper in the rankings this week.

Monster of the Week: was tempted to give this to BJ’s pitching, but they didn’t even win, so I don’t think I can. Dave and Marcley both rose the most in the rankings, but neither had a monster week. Monster of the week goes to Mark Trumbo with 5 HRs to carry Cory to a win over Michael.
Max of the Week: didn’t see anything too obvious. Cory dropping Gerardo Parra and Eugenio Suarez could come back to bite him (thanks Cory), Arthur dropping Brett Gardner also raised an eyebrow. We’ll call this a null for a week.
