There are some technical difficulties happening with the Floored Power Rankings so I don’t have any numbers or charts to present to you. The headlines are this:

·         Dean came in around a ranking of 3.9 to lead the league

·         Max pulled up the rear around 6.8

·         Everyone else was between 4.4 and 6.1 or so

My takeaways from the week: I was very impressed at all the free agent wire activity, it was actually flustering me as guys I had my eye on for the future were grabbed. I think there were a lot of good players grabbed…and dropped. It will be interesting to see what sticks and what doesn’t. Shout out to Keith with 18 home runs, tied for second most HR in a week. Dean was shutting out Michael for over half the week. Thankfully it became a close matchup by Saturday but Dean won most of the close categories to blow out Michael. Despite an early run at #beatingDave. Max and his Adam Wainwright fizzled over the weekend. Only Max can lose with a 19th round draft pick that his 7 home runs, sorry buddy.

Monster of the Week: it still has to be Max, drafting Trevor Story when he already had Troy Tulowitzski was a bold move. I’m sure a lot of us were saying last week how they were going to draft him, but Max put his money where his mouth is and snagged him. Only time will tell how long this can keep up.

Max of the Week: in true Max fashion, it is Max. Max forgot what day the season started and didn’t check his lineup in time. He had Francisco Liriano on his bench while he threw 6 innings of 10 strikeout, shutout ball. Those strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP helpers would have gone a long way in how the rest of his matchup played out.
